MariBank Officially Becomes a Digital Bank Under BSP Rules

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has officially granted MariBank Philippines Inc. a digital bank license, reclassifying the institution from a rural bank to a digital bank under central bank regulations.

The regulatory shift was formalized through BSP Circular Letter No. 35, Series of 2026, according to an official statement released by the bank.

Regulatory Reclassification and Deposit Security
