Actor and restaurateur Marvin Agustin launched “FishBlock” for Philippine Blockchain Week 2025, merging Filipino street food with blockchain. This cube-shaped fish ball dish comes with an NFT minted on Bayanichain and is available at his restaurants for 1,000 KIKI, a Solana-based memecoin.
Agustin aims to make blockchain more relatable by integrating it into everyday culture. FishBlock flavors represent Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, with regional-inspired toppings.

Philippine Blockchain Week 2025: Decoded was formally announced to take place from June 10–14 at SMX Convention Center Manila. The event aims to simplify blockchain and showcase its impact across fintech, healthcare, gaming and entertainment.
SparkPoint April Roadmap

SparkPoint recently shared its roadmap for April 2025highlighting key updates and launches. On April 11, the team will announce updates for SparkAgent, their AI-powered web3 automation tool. The biggest milestone arrives on April 25 with the launch of SparkAgent’s AI Agent Partner Program.
Alongside these milestones, SparkPoint is actively promoting its SparkAgent platform, which enables users to build AI-powered web3 projects without coding. A virtual demo walkthrough is available for those interested.
BI Warning on Crypto Scams
The Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI) issued a warning about a new cryptocurrency scam targeting Filipino migrants in the United States. The fraud involves scammers offering fake cryptocurrency investment opportunities with promises of high returns and minimal risks. Victims are typically contacted through social media, where they are convinced to transfer funds into fraudulent trading platforms.
MGG Ronin Validator Airdrop

MetaGaming Guild (MGG) completed the snapshot for its Q1 2025 Ronin Validator Airdrop, rewarding loyal RON stakers with a $20,000 MGG token prize pool. The snapshot was taken on March 31, and winners were verified between April 1–3. Rewards will be distributed in the first week of April.
This marks the final Ronin Validator airdrop, as MGG is shifting its strategic direction and discontinuing future airdrops.
Hiraya Network’s Different Approach from Superteam

In an interview with Eli Becislao, Managing Director of The BLOKC, he explained that while Superteam offered free participation, Hiraya requires developers to stake a refundable amount, ensuring commitment and rewarding them upon program completion.
He noted that unlike Superteam, which aims to create new founders, Hiraya’s success is measured by placing Filipino professionals in the Aptos ecosystem. Even without launching startups, it meets its goals by helping talent secure web3 jobs.
“Hiraya isn’t just another Superteam—it’s designed for economic impact, ensuring Filipino talent thrives in Web3,” Becislao emphasized.
DAFI Wins at ICP Global Townhall

Filipino-led agri-fintech project DAFI emerged as one of the top winners at the ICP Global Townhall Pitching Round, a global competition that featured over 60 Web3 startups from around the world.
DAFI was recognized for its innovative use of the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) and AI to improve access to decentralized financial tools for farmers.
MFW Caravan in Davao

The MFW (Metaverse Filipino Worker) Caravan by YGG kicked off in Davao as part of a nationwide initiative by YGG (Yield Guild Games) Pilipinas to bring digital skills training and career opportunities to Filipinos.
